Custis Trail Seemed Closed 12/24 in AM

My less confident bicycling neighbor and kids found the Custis Trail to be closed this morning.

They sent me these pics.  This is just east of Glebe Road

I told them it sort of looked closed, but that they can’t close the trail and to just go on ahead.

They chose to go home instead.

bummer.

although it was cold for the little ones.

that sucks. looks like it was a private group trying to make its runners didn’t miss a turn- not official in any way and I’m not sure there’s any groups that can “close” the trail for a private event.
