CCT commuters – Unite!

Ha, yeah, happy at 6A??? Also, I must be blind, but that doesn’t show up at all on the calendar for me. How long are y’all there in the mornings? I usually am on the trail (forget if I said this) by 730 or so; and then around 430, 5-ish when heading home. I have a little black Surly and some absurdly large black Timbuktu panniers. Right now, I’m usually in a bright-blue parka or a black jacket, with a yellow reflector vest.

How about this: If interested, let’s do a coffee meet-up on Tuesday at the Bethesda Paul, 7:30A. If it works out, we can do something at another – warmer – time on the trail, by the bridge between MoCo and DC.

I’m usually up early enough, just prefer to avoid all human interaction until at least 11:00. As Sartre should have said, hell is other people at breakfast.

Yeah, there is a meet-up on Fridays at A Baked Joint, which is not far from my office. But I’m typically sleep-deprived during the week, and it reaches its peak on Fridays after a week of too little sleep every night. So far, I have not managed to get there even once.

You are not. If I had my druthers, I wouldn’t start work until 10. Every morning is a struggle to get out of bed.

I ride the CCT from Gtown until Fletcher’s, where I get on the towpath to Chain Bridge. I usually roll through Gtown around 730ish or so, so I would meet up if the timing worked out.

I do Silver Spring to Georgetown mornings – use the CCT around half the time. A Bethesda meetup would be fun! Definitely post it here if it’s going down.

Also… it’s Girl Scout cookie day in my office, so I’m hoping my ride up the trail goes faster than usual with lighter-than-usual bags. I need to make room in my panniers (And, preemptively work off the gluttony!)

Sorry Caitlin, I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it. I try to be at work at 7:30. Have fun. I say, if no one shows up, you should zip over to Kaldi’s in Silver Spring. The gang that meets up there is a great.
