Brooklyn Bridge is, on paper, such a great bike connection, but holy shit it’s probably the most frustrating place I’ve ever ridden. I’m staying right next to it on the Manhattan side when I go up for Red Hook Crit, but I’ll probably ride up to and over the Manhattan Bridge instead just to avoid Brooklyn Bridge.
It’s not like the pedestrians have plenty of room. The real problem is that most of the bridge is for cars and a too-narrow sliver is for everyone else.
I have a hard time imagining all those people squeezing by each other in the walker section.
