I bought a small bicycle. Put it in my pocket. Count all the miles!

    Winning!

I guess if I only have half the wheels, I’ll only get half the points? :D

I don’t think you’ll get any points at all. I’m thinking those would be Jo’s points you filmed…. [emoji16]

In my view, the fun is meant for people in the DC metro area

I AGREE! People from Kiev Germany New York City should be precluded from participating!! (or at least from Coffeeneuring)

Newbie question: Somewhere I read that Freezing Saddles is for folks in the Washington DC metro area, but on Strava there are folks in the Strava club that aren’t even in this hemisphere. Is this a wide-open Strava club? Doesn’t including folks that live in summery climes during the competition defeat the purpose? Just a question…

We don’t monitor the Strava club. However, even to be a Friend of BAFS (listed on the website, but don’t get points), you have to authorize Freezing Saddles to read your miles. The people from far away don’t do that. To compete, you have to fill out a registration form and give a local Zip code.

Opps, guess I should have used my house in Arlington Zip Code. Oh well.

Well, the Coffee Ride rules do say that only DMV coffee rides count. That and even though I can participate, I’ve been precluded from winning, again. ;)

The registration czar recognizes you as qualifying, even if you missed the part on the registration form that said

An exception is made for past FS participants who have moved out of the area. If this is your situation, use your most recent Zip Code in the DMV area.

However, if you want to give me the Arlington Zip Code, I’ll fix the submission, so that no one down the line gets confused.

That was an amazing year. It felt like most of the teams clicked and the social aspect was pretty damned ridiculous. Kudos to the team assignment czar for that one! ;)

    That was a fun year!

Does this count for a post to register?

The new scoring system is already scrambling things in an interesting way. I like it.

My wife and I have both ridden every day. I have 3 more total miles than she does, and she has 4 points more than me. I am cautiously optimistic that this will increase team competitiveness.
