It will be interesting to see how the scoring change shakes things up.
I can’t be alone in saying that, despite having read the previous 14 pages over the past two weeks, I’m a little confused. Did the Freezing Cabal decree a new scoring system, or are we still talking about hypothetical scoring changes?
If the latter, +1 meaningless vote for Subby’s idea.

People can determine how they want to distribute their riding based on whatever life constraints and desires they have. They can choose if they want to engage in the side bets and pointless prizes or not, and if they want to do social things or not. Personally, I’ll probably aim for a healthy balance across all of these.
If so, maybe you can settle the debate about how much coffee qualifies as a “healthy balance.” Somewhere between 1 and 13 cups a day?

I have never been part of a cabal before. I’m honored!

It was originally Bob James’s idea. The committee merely endorsed it.

Glad for both—I like these rules.

ParticipantSticky talks about more heavily weighting the early miles of “each ride”, not first miles each day. If I have two five mile rides on one day, is that 2×50 = 100 points, or just 10 mi / 65 points?

Your miles are cumulative for a ride day. So you would get 10 points for the ride day plus 65 points for the 10 miles (2 x 5) = 75 points total.
