I contacted her on Facebook. That’s what I had to do last year to get her on board. But she was a good teammate once we found her.

She says she is playing. I gave her the URL for your Strava club, and she has now joined.

Team 11 is missing a member on Strava. Since I don’t have the mappings between Strava and Forum names I’m not 100% sure who it is but I think it’s (forum name) Marlon.

Sorry about being MIA this weekend, it was a busy one.

As of this morning, we only have NINE teams out of 22 that have all 11 participants signed up and ready to go (*sigh*).

Here is who we are missing:
Team 2: ToastToYost
Team 3*: Dr. W
Drucycles
dyln
jongon
Team 11: Marlon
Team 12: iareintelligent
Team 13: Jason
Team 17: cdjewell
Team 18: Rob22315

I am sending out an email to all of the above listed participants advising them that they need to join their team’s Strava group and authenticate the Freezing Saddles website by NOON TOMORROW (that would be Wednesday, January 18, 2017) or they are in danger of getting replaced.

*Team 3 only has five participants that have joined. If they do not get a few more by tomorrow, the team will be disbanded and used to fill other teams. Sorry guys.

Updated List: I removed those who are on their Strava groups but not showing up on the Freezing Saddles website. My job there is done. Team Captains (or whomever) will need to get with their team members that are not showing up on the Freezing Saddles site and teach them how to reauthorize the app. I put it in the email, but as we have learned, reading comprehension apparently goes down when you ride your bike in cold weather… :confused:

If you get reports of freezingsaddles.com authorization problems, you can have people contact me – my forum name @gmail.com and I might be able to figure out what’s going on.

For those still missing members, in addition to e-mails, I’ve found a couple of techniques to be effective:

* Search for the person on Facebook, and send them a private message, asking them to join the club.
* Comment on one of their recent Strava rides, asking them to join the club.

E-mails sometimes go to spam folders, and people don’t always remember to check the forum. Both of these techniques seem to be effective at finding people who can’t otherwise be found.

Amazingly enough, now that BobCochran signed up, we have seven alternates! So, at noon, unless someone else joins their Strava team, all seven alternates will get to play! (And Team 3 gets to stay a team!)

As an asset on a business unit that is experiencing harm by being short 1-2 members we are looking forward to the INcorporation of the alternates.

Thanks to these guys and gal for being super responsive and getting signed up on their team’s Strava group pretty much immediately! 😎

There are still a few folks that are having issues getting the FS app to sync with Strava. Hopefully this will be worked out in the next day or so and everyone can really start trash talking and getting the competition heated.
