The ongoing construction zone cluster—- in the 1800 block of Crystal Drive continues apace. This time it’s steel plates being used with no asphalt edging and left that way all weekend. One gets the feeling the contractor simply does things for their own convenience.
Overall the county’s management and oversight of work zones in streets leaves a lot to be desired. On Crystal Drive, the two northbound lanes (including the severely under-used dedicated bus lane) are undisturbed, while all the southbound traffic is throttled down to a narrow single lane, and no bike lane.
