Hello Bike Forum, BikeArlington recently received an email from a gentleman in Los Angeles which is also dealing with a cemetery that is closed to bikes.

He writes- “I am in Los Angeles where the Natl Cemetery without bikes is just as much an issue as at your end. I have stumbled across the rulemaking from 2016 which culminated in the ban on bikes in Arlington, with many powerful pro-bike public comments, including a letter from Libbey Garvey, but also someone with legal expertise whose name I would love to know. https://www.regulations.gov/comment/USA-2015-HQ-0046-0004 Perhaps you can help me identify this expert?”

Did any of you write the comment in the link, or know who might have done it? If so, let me know so I can connect you.

Additionally, if any of you are interested in advocating for the cemetery access in LA, there is a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Cemeteries and Memorials https://www.cem.va.gov/about/advisory_committee.asp on May 12/13.

    Thanks!
