    Please join us for the next Alexandria BPAC meeting at Saint Stephens and Saint Agnes Upper School, 1000 St. Stephens Road, Alexandria VA 22304 from 7 to 9 pm. Meeting will be in the dining room.

    Top Agenda items:
    1. Mount Vernon Trail safety
    2. Bike to Work Day/Week planning
    3. Adoption of new BPAC Bylaws

    Hey everyone! If you are a Mount Vernon Trail user, this will be a good BPAC meeting to attend. I’ll be discussing some things that the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail are doing in the next year as well as some things in progress with the National Park Service.

    I generally use only the segment in Arlington between Rosslyn and Memorial Bridge- a pleasant run, but tree roots have heaved up the asphalt in some numerous places and the bed has settled to into boggy area in others. It is in poor shape.

    • “Connected Networks” (Rachel). Prioritized infrastructure changes and associated actions for the top cross-jurisdictional gap-filling projects
    • “Safe Streets Tool Kit”. (Jim) Tool Kit of “Best practices” for safe street, i.e. “What will help me get home or to work safely”

    June (date TBD): Alexandria Waterways ride with AlexRenew staff (Rich Bindell).
