Lake Audubon in Reston, home to a pair of Bald Eagles who hatch eaglets every spring. You do not want to have a first hand experience with an eagle talon!

Zoom way in for the speck of a raptor circling overhead. I kept thinking I’d see more and get a better shot, but they were elusive today!
2/14 – I found this snowy owl w/ fuzzy TALONs at a local little free library on my way to drop off some compost.
2/14/24 – The TALONs are nicely carved in this sculpture made out of wood. If I didn’t stop my ride at my destination, I could have used this for the Public Art Finder game too.
2/15/24 ASCOT
On the day after Valentine’s Day, I was expecting to find myself at a tuxedo rental place trying on an ASCOT. Instead, I’m first in line at the return counter of ASCOT Diamonds. 😭💔💎
