#scavhunt – 2/14/2024 – I tried to find an old USPS logo with the full eagle, no luck. Here’s the eagle with TALONs from American Legion Post 130 just off the W&OD at N Oak St in Falls Church

Red Shouldered Hawk uses her TALONs to snatch mice, frogs, snakes, and other birds.

I did not see a single bird on my ride, so I’m going to have to go with a generic ‘claw’ sign that I just happened to see on my ride. I know it’s lame, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

There were so many talons in the College Park Hyattsville area! This graphic of an Owl was at the top of a building where Green Owl Designs is located. I love how creative and simplistic the depiction of the owl is, especially the talons!

The (bronze) eagle landed at AU in May 1997. Today, incoming freshmen rub the eagle’s talons for good luck during opening convocation.
