The Jones Falls River used to be the cleft that divided Baltimore in two, but since the 1970s, the Jones Falls Expressway (JFX or I 83) has taken over, creating limited passageways from one side of the city to the other.
I asked two women if I could take a picture of their cleft. They called the cops, so you’ll have to settle for this rock that just so happens to be in the picture of the horse I was taking.

What we needed to do today for FS #scavhunt was take a photo to illustrate “cleft.” Wonder what caused the cleft in this guardrail? (Note that the first sentence is a “cleft sentence.”)
