I heard rumors that this spot along the Anacostia River Trail is where a car was torched, singeing the path, and leaving embers.
1/28/2024 – No sign of an ember in this park’s BBQ grill (though since it was on a military base I couldn’t get close enough to do a thorough inspection)

Luckily, Millie is friends with the owners of 2Fifty Texas BBQ! She even knew the person at the pit and explained that we were doing a #scavhunt and asked if we could take a picture of the fire? He let us in!

I took photos of a fire circle and a smoking chimney, but when I rode by this church sign with flames below a cross, it just knew there was something out there that I was “LOOKING FOR.”
I waited to see what inspirational or spiritual message would follow…

The chimney of the Fireman’s Cafe let you know that there are embers in the fireplace with all of the cooking they do.
1/28 – the red lights at the end of the DCA runway reminded me of burning EMBERs … which might happen if the plane overshoots those lights!
