But we already had Fluffy Pink Bunny Dirt.
Yes, fluffy was the word I was looking for. Thanks.

I can only assume you’re talking about me…so okay, withdrawn.
Mark, I was only joking. You are a strong rider. We want you on the team. I’ve decided to make this team a “medium” (11-99 members) and it will become a “large” as soon as the 100th rider joins. Please forgive my dumb comment and put yourself back on the team.
I buried the lead in the post you quoted. I hope you read the part you didn’t quote. Everyone is welcome on this team.

No worries, sorry for the misunderstanding.

It’s not easy to find. Go here:

http://www.endomondo.com/teams/8990322Apparently the National Bike Challenge folks don’t seem to know that the, well, National Bike Challenge folks have allowed larger teams this year.
I just got:
“It looks like you have already signed up for the National Bike Challenge 2013.
You are currently riding for : no teamSomeone wants you to ride for the team Bike Arlington All Stars during the challenge.
Unfortunately the team is already full. Each team is allowed max 10 members!”Good thing we are just warming up!

And the team profile says “11 members”. Ahhh, so good to be using Endomondo again!

ParticipantDana, after you tried, another rider has joined the team, a rider I invited. Team size is not limited this year but there is a glitch and you are not the only rider I know of who has received this message that the team you want to join is full. The twelfth All Star rider, Laurie Lemieux was one I invited. Maybe because I’m the team admin, my invite carries more weight? Accept my friend request and I will invite you to join the team. I doubt this will work but it’s worth a try. Laurie is one of the few BA members who was already on my Endomondo friends list, so I invited her. I would have invited you too, but I haven’t figured out yet how to invite riders I’m not friends with.
Hopefully this gets sorted out before the challenge begins.

ParticipantI got invited to join the Crystal Ride team, but Endomondo told me they were full and I was already on a team (not giving me the chance to change). I was just checking out the competition, the only other currently registered Arlington team.

ParticipantOkay, so this is the second “I dont get this” post. If there is no limit to the size of teams, what is the point?
Last year teams of ten riders competed against each other for total points and total miles ridden (just like the way Freezing Saddles was designed). It was very fun and it was kind of neat to compare how your team was doing against others. My proudest moment was that team Federal Cyclists Commission beat Team AT&T and Team Comcast!!!! Sweeeeet.
Anyway, all that works if each team has some structure, in this case, ten riders. But if a team is well, any size, then how do you compare one teams score to another.
At that point where if I am going to organize the Federal Cyclists Commission again I should do so, but the extra month doesnt help (there was clearly fatigue last year) and I dont understand the scoring.
(As far as Arlington goes, could we just form one massive team???)
Thank you to those who might understand better.

Where did Team Verizon end up?

ParticipantI emailed the NBC about this and am awaiting a response
Consider the following: Would we want to form something along the lines of a “local organization” and create teams of a designated team size (10?) and then compete against each other in the NBC? Teams would be self created; self recruited. In theory a local advocacy organization can step up and organize a “local” challenge.
This is basically talking out loud at this point — we will see what NBC says.
I note that the leader board can be separated into teams ten and under, 11 – 99, and 100+ …. for whatever that’s worth.

ParticipantIf you want to be on the winning team join Bike Arlington All Stars. All Star riders are currently ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the warm-up period. I hope we can get 100+ riders. Please join! There will b e no pressure to ride, the deck is stacked, we have the aces.
It’s like city size. You can view your community vs. communities of all sizes or view it only with others of similar sizes. The team leaderboard will be the same. Teams with more riders will have an obvious advantage, but smaller teams can see themselves ranked with other teams of ten or less.

ParticipantNice bump. We are 15 now. Thanks new members, Pete, Mike, Megan for joining! We are currently the second largest team nationwide! Size counts! Think of team size as a competition in itself. The biggest team is Crystal City. Crystal City has 1,222 points. BAAS has 18,524 points. Which team do you want to be on? 😎
I could particularly use the help of riders living in Brentwood Maryland (hint: TN). My community has a nice lead nationwide among class III cities but some tiny class IV towns in the midwest are creeping up on us in the overall.
