ParticipantBusted a cable last night so the bike is in the shop for a tune-up this week. Grrrr… Will try to get some rides in though on Cabi or my old hybrid (which is in need of some repair as well). Painful given the perfect weather.

ParticipantOn October 1, I will ride… ZERO miles.
On October 2, I will do a short ride on CaBi. And I won’t log that trip anywhere. Not on my computer. Not on a website. Not on a paper log nor on the back of a napkin. I may not even tell anyone that I did a short ride that day.

Congrats Cyndi! And all the other Diamonds glittering in the platinum setting I am providing.
I just want to give a shout out to another local cyclist, who is the TOP woman in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Kerie Hitt is not a forum regular but she is the first lady of Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling — a tireless advocate and tremendous asset to our local cycling community, very generous and friendly. She is riding for Team FABB, where she is the top rider. She has logged 3450 miles during the challenge. Allez Kerie!

ParticipantDo you suppose we could get Kerie on our team next year if we changed the name to the FABBulous BikeArlington All-Stars? :p
Congratulations to Megan Jones, second female All-Star to reach diamond, and to Kel Moore, the latest team member to reach platinum, and to every one of the many BikeArlington All-Stars to reach these milestones. It’s been a lot of fun watching this team rack up the miles.
So who’s up for back to back double centuries Saturday and Sunday?

ParticipantSo, when can I expect the diamonds to start coming in the mail? I want my diamonds and I want them now!
All I know is my Garmin better work doing the Diamond Derby on Saturday so I can get some killer awesome miles in. (I’ll be riding as part of Team “Sticky Rack VC” an all ladies crew…)

I’m doing this ride too (either the 55 or 75) and managed to secure a spot for the picnic. Hope this nice weather holds out. Will keep an eyeball out for you.

ParticipantI won’t make Diamond, but I did a loop at Hains Point this morning to make sure I hit my 4500 goal – the ride home will do it!
