I put in 40 yesterday while in Canada but was unable to log until today, it looks as if the miles somehow counted but not sure how to check for sure.
40 mi Canadian = 30 mi US?

I thought that was just a welcome for me! My wife starts her Ukrainian training tomorrow and has said she will commute by bike!

Ukraine, oh, how I miss thee. (RPCV here – Ukraine 2000-2003)

ParticipantNo prizes for the DMV area for August, as we prepare for the big ones in another month??
Sadly, I’ll be coasting into diamond (early work paying off!), as we welcomed a new addition to the family last week. A ride a day (sleaze ride, shmeeze ride) M-F puts me in! Keep on pedaling!

But did you bike while there?

Sadly no. Cycling is a more recent obsession. Now that I’m into it, I wish I was cycling at the time. I would have had plenty of time my first couple summers for some touring, and there are some beautiful places I could have ridden. Alas…

CONGRATULATIONS! And I can assure you, there is biking after having kids, though that doesn’t matter right now. CONGRATULATIONS!

Congrats! Doesn’t sound sad at all!
I am expecting a baby too in a few weeks here (#2), so my riding will likely stop for a bit (or greatly slow down) before the end of the competition. I don’t even do the sleaze rides, since I told myself that this challenge would have zero effect on my cycling (unlike freezing saddles). I don’t even login to the site except for once a month or so to make sure syncing is still working.

ParticipantWith respect to the national rankings, I do enjoy the fact that I am in the top 3% of the participants (which includes thousands of folks that haven’t logged any miles yet) but I am somewhat concerned that I find myself ranked at 666 with some frequency.
Should I allow this to bedevil me or take it as an endorsement?

I always smelled sulfur when riding behind you, but that could have just been your lunch

ParticipantI think Endomondo has been screwing me out of points…when I look at my NBC profile, it says “distance logged: 2,174”. But when I add up my rides (in both Strava and Endomondo), the actual number is 2344. The error seems to have cropped up for August, because when I go to my Endomondo profile “statistics” page it shows 584 miles for August, but when I actually add up my August rides, shown very plainly on Endomondo’s “workouts” page, the total is actually 694 (which is what Strava gives me as well). Finally, even though I uploaded my Monday and Tuesday rides last night, and my NBC page shows I’ve ridden 39 miles this week, I’m shown as having “0” points for September.

Go back and edit the ride to make sure the “include in statistics” box is checked. For some reason at the end of August my entries started defaulting to runs and the above box was unchecked. I can’t find a way to change the default, so I have to edit each entry after the download iw complete.

Well look at you, Mr. Answer Man….
I have the same problem with my uploads defaulting to runs, but I didn’t even notice the “include in statistics” thing. I was worried I’d totally lost those points for August, but it looks like they got added in when the site revalidated my rides.
