Sorry to screw with your stats Dana but I never differentiate my ride types…. I list all of them as “Sport” for simplicity even though the majority of them are commuting…. sorry!
They are not my stats. I am just doing some tabulation because I’m a data (among other types) geek. I think the calculation in endomondo treats sport riding a bit different in the calculation of CO2 and cost savings. As my wife points out, bikes are boats with wheels with respect to money. The endomondo calculations seem to (I’ll try to verify) score no CO2 offsets for sport cycling where the assumption is that if you weren’t riding to work you’d be driving.
The point I was highlighting with the bar chart is that BA All Stars higher percentage of commute/utility cycling suggests we are all around riders and not weekend warriors. My personal miles are 84% commute/utility for the past four years.
I think that we can/should use the stats (where appropriate) to help reinforce BikeArlington/WABA/etc positions regarding cycling in our communities.

I believe the point is that we don’t really differentiate what sort of riding we’re doing. Most of us are just using whatever the default is for most rides, and most of us don’t even set that. So, unfortunately, I think this aspect of the data is pretty useless. Sorry.

ParticipantSome of us simply forget to turn off our rides at the end so we show 4.4hours to go 15 miles and then our cell phone batteries drain out. I’ve probably thrown off the FABB data with it, but I have been too lazy to manually correct most of my screwups.

ParticipantLooking back I see that I was only awarded 181 points for May. I’m guessing that’s because I was not awarded any back points from before I joined the challenge? I logged in all my May miles, and they add up to about 800 points.
Not that I’m whining, but I’d be plah-atinum by now-oww.

9 people (13%) have achieved silver (>250)

nobody has under bronze scoresI think it would be more accurate to say (updated results);
3 have reached Diamond
34 have reached Platinum
58 have reached Gold
68 have logged miles. Not to single anyone out but Kevin Ulrich hasn’t logged any miles. I hope he’s OK. He was among the group of riders I rode to Baltimore with on the second day of this Challenge, so I know he’s earned at least 110 unclaimed points.
Not sure how we have 68 registered members and 68 with points, and poor Kevin unaccounted for…

Participant“The Kid” has officially joined the team. Thinks he is hot stuff as he is currently beating me (we both had pretty similar miles… but he got to add on all the miles from all the test rides he took this weekend).
PS: After posting this, he took off with my Bike Arlington jersey and my Garmin to log some more miles. So if you see a goofy looking kid with a Bike Arlington jersey, its probably him.

Not to worry — we’ll school him if we see him on the trails.

ParticipantYou do realize that you will now have to buy him a GPS, a $200 helmet, clipless pedals and shoes, night lights, fancy sunglasses, and…..the list goes on…..

DOOM!
BTW that’s not wholly accurate. What is wholly accurate is that he was assimilated using MY GPS. What is accurate is that I just lost my GPS… some lights… my Bike Arlington jersey…. who knows what else.

Even better – you now have the opportunity to get new and improved equipment.
