    Hi teammates!
I’m working to track down our remaining 4 team members to make sure they join in all the fun and games, but in the meantime, thanks to the rest of you for joining our strava team and logging those miles! It also looks like a few of us have been logging rides every day – nice work @ctankcycles, @david.helms570@gmail.com, and @Felkerino.

I think we should brainstorm some team name ideas. I’m really bad at this stuff, AND it’s Monday morning, but here’s my initial contribution to the name game – Team (tr)icicles

Wanted to suggest changing Strava group name to “Team 3 – BAFS2016” for consistency and easy readability (in case team names get clipped by charts).

I got it updated, @hozn! Should be good to go now.

Hi there, @sunsoutgunsout, @LeslyJ, and @DCAKen! I’m really looking forward to this year’s Freezing Saddles (my second year giving this a try). I also tend to get cold fingers and toes once it drops below 40 (totally weak sauce, I know). I can push through temps in the 30s if I use hand and toe warmers, which are a pretty fabulous invention. Otherwise I also tend to just stick to my 7mi round trip work commute in the winter and sneak in longer road bike rides if it warms up enough.

It’s great that most of our team seems to be DC-based so far. I’m going to give our remaining teammates another day or two before I start poking them, but it looks like we will be 13 strong this year!

Thanks for letting me know! Apparently, the author of the plug-in decided to put in some “security fixes” that made the form so secure that no one could use it. There was a new update today that fixed this. Please have your friend try again?

Wow, that was a quick fix! All is well now. Thank you!

A friend of mine just tried to register online and several of the questions that had checkboxes underneath them are no longer showing any of the checkboxes (the other side of the river, are you willing to be a team captain, puppies!, are you really gonna play, will you participate in the reindeer games). Since some of these are required to submit registration, it’s not letting him submit his info. I just registered yesterday and it was fine, though. I also just tried opening the page in chrome, IE, and on my iPhone, but those fields were missing from all of them.

I told my friend to just try again tomorrow, but it seems like something went buggy on the website between yesterday and today. Thanks in advance for any help with this!

I will also be there! And thank you for picking a DC location. :D

As a sign of how BAFS has changed me, I took a peek outside this morning, decided “eh, doesn’t look too bad”, then proceeded to bike to work. :)

I just joined the group for FS this year, so I don’t know too many of you, but I’ll be there around 7 to celebrate the completion of my first FS competition! Grey castelli jacket, black/blue trek road bike. Probably will bail after an hour or so. :)

I’m going to be a game time decision based on how the weather’s looking (lame, I know).

Also, Rod’s observation on our strava team page about the makeup of our team made me think of another one… Two Sons, Lotta Ladies!

I had similar concerns about a February work trip to Phoenix that I have (yes, I know…life is tough), but it looks like they also have a bike share program – awesome!

Here’s a stream-of-consciousness list of ideas for a team name…it doesn’t necessarily have to involve the use of “two” or “sun”, right? Although that certainly gives us somewhere to start with for ideas…

Here’s what I came up, although I’m pretty bad at this sort of thing, so no pressure to pick any of these: Two for the Snow (i.e. one for the money, two for the show), Winter is Coming, Wheel Friends, Ride Like the Winded, Abominable Cyclists, It’s (Not) Always Sunny in DC, Oh Snow You Didn’t!…if I can manage to come up with any more, I’ll post again later. :)

Hi all! Just joined the strava club. Looking forward to a good winter full of riding! Will try to brainstorm some names in the meantime too

Hi Erin! Welcome to team 2 – the best team (of course). Hopefully we’ll all be able to meet in person as a team sometime soon. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to seeing your adventures in Strava! :)

Thanks, Rod! I’ll put on my thinking (drinking?) cap and work on name ideas. In the meantime, I’ll add myself to the strava team.
