1/23/21. National Pie Day.
Visited Kiwi Pie Shop for the first time. Folks were super friendly and my family enjoyed the steak & cheese individual pies for dinner. Will definitely be back to try other varieties.

1/17/2021 “Key, Kite, or Lightning”
Was going to head to Baldino’s in Lorton (conveniently located near Fair Winds Brewing where I took my pic yesterday) but then decided to be a bit more creative. Headed to local power substation near Hayfield looking for warning signs, then decided to do a power-line path tour through Kibgstowne. Am hoping substation voltage graphics count as lightning.

1/16/21 – the word “Brewing”, “Winery”, “Mead”, or “Distillery” on a sign.
I often bike to my wonderful local brewery, Fair Winds Brewing in Lorton, but today marked the first trip in the dark! If you haven’t been, be sure to stop by. The beer is great ( my fave is Howling Gale, their amazing IPA) and the folks are fabulous!

Not only is it National Bean Day, it’s Rowan Atkinson’s (aka Mr Bean) birthday! Small business definitely means no Chipotle, Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Baja Fresh. Again, it’d be cool if it’s a place you actually like – and if you’d want to – explain why.
