I’m Ted, you’ll find me in the Alexandria area as I live and work in the Groveton area. Most of my miles are on pavement, though I do enjoy the opportunity to ride the mountain bike trails near my home.
I work at Mount Vernon hospital as a recreational therapist, and I find that biking is my own therapy.
This is my 5th year with fs, and I think it is one of the things I look forward to most this time of year.
Hope to see the rest of my teammates out on the roads in the coming months.

ParticipantGreat! If you are looking for the GPS route, here it is: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28066074
The pace usually averages out around 15mph. We do have a few regroup spots along the route, and the ride is a no drop ride.
Early weather forecast for this Saturday is looking questionable. I will make the final call of whether to ride or not by Saturday Morning at 7. Join our Facebook group to get the updates for the ride. Here’s the link to the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/758318671296278/?ref=share

ParticipantTeam 8, I’m Ted. I live in the Beacon Hill area of Alexandria. I ride to work most days, and I co-lead the Saturday morning shop ride from Conte’s in Old Town.
I met Chris, Kellie and Mike tonight at the happy hour. Who else is out there?

ParticipantI won’t be able to make it to the closing party. I’ll hand the prize for the most Metro trips off to someone who is coming.

ParticipantI am going to save this and share it (with credits to David Pomeroy). Thank you David, I couldn’t have said it better.

LAST MINUTE TEAM X FLASH MOB @ PORT CITY BREWING 2NITE!!!! 5:30PM – WEATHER IS GREAT.
There are very few moves to this flash mob dance:
1. Procure a libation
2. Raise glass
3. Drink from glass
4. Put glass down
5. RepeatNo time for a video clip, you can do this. Doesn’t even have to be in unison.
We’ve found a place upstairs. Find us on the couch.

In conjunction with rumipumi (aka Mrs. Maryland Meadworks), I’m organizing a bakeries, brews, and booze ride on Saturday, February 23. All are welcome to join.
If you think you’d like to imbibe, please PM me or respond on this thread so that I can let the good people at Maryland Meadworks, Streetcar 82, and Sangfroid know how many people to expect.
Count me in!

ParticipantJumped on the metro for a few stops on my way home. No shame, I definitely made up for points lost from yesterday’s ride absence.

ParticipantFinally got to put my commute on the metro this morning. I have some kinks to work out with the timing, but I’m sure I’ll have more energy today than I would if I was riding all 18 miles in.
