I rode from Vienna Community Center to West St. tonight (6:30-7pm). It was all easily passable on 32s – basically the same conditions as the photo I posted this morning – maybe a little more bare pavement. No significant melting today, so no real ruts. Hit a few small ice patches – had one minor spin out on the climb up to Virginia Lane – but I never had to put a foot down. The transition from Virginia back to the WOD is a bit hairy – take it slow there. There’s not a significant amount of bare pavement when you turn back onto the trail off of Virginia. Same thing after crossing Shreve.
But should be just fine, overall, in the morning.
