ParticipantLinda–I think I’m going to be busy on Sunday–I was hoping to ride on Saturday but the weather isn’t looking great. I think I’m doing a tandem ride Monday morning, meeting at the Eastern Market metro at 10, and I’m not sure if we’ll ride on the Anacostia trail or elsewhere, if anyone is interested in joining. Andy–I’m interested in doing a happy hour sometime when you’re in town, and I should be around the 2nd-6th.

ParticipantHi! This is my third year doing freezing saddles and I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the happy hour last night, but hopefully I’ll get to meet all of you soon! I mainly ride on roads and paved trails, but I’m interested in riding more gravel. I also do lots of tandem riding with the Metro Washington Association of Blind Athletes (MWABA) if anyone is interested in joining. Linda–I live in D.C. but I spend a lot of time in North Bethesda, so I’d be up for riding in Rock Creek Park or elsewhere in Maryland.

ParticipantI’m riding a tandem with a group of four tandems and a single from MWABA (the Metro Washington Association of Blind Athletes). Karla and I are planning on doing either the 53 or 67 mile route depending on weather and how we’re feeling. Hopefully see many of you there! -Shira

ParticipantHere’s a reminder about the tandem orientation tomorrow! It sounds like we’ll be at the Eastern Market Metro (by the tandem locker, which is next to the elevator) starting between 5:15 and 5:30 until around 7. So you can stop by, learn about the group, and try out the tandems even if you can’t get there by 5:15.

ParticipantCongratulations Alison and Tom on your impressive number of tandem rides! Are you going to be at the closing happy hour on Wednesday to receive your prize? If not, we can coordinate getting it to you.

ParticipantBeerneuring #5 on 3/15. I stopped by Red Bear and had the DC Dirt (porter) and Swampoodle (an Irish stout). I preferred the Swampoodle.

ParticipantSpiritneuring #1: I also did the Dutch gin tasting at Sangfroid today. It had more flavor than English gin, and the owners were friendly and taught us a lot about the gin.

ParticipantBeerneuring #2: Bluejacket on February 9th. After a ride on the ART with Mr. T in DC (and a run in with other Freezing Saddle-ers at Lake Artemesia), we got lunch at Bluejacket and I had tasters of the Double Nickels and Viktor. They were both tasty dark beers.
Beerneuring #3: Maryland Meadworks. I joined Komorebi’s ride today and enjoyed the Tart Gwen, it was tasty and not too sweet.
Beerneuring #4: Streetcar 82. I got a flight of the Bellevue, Lady Calvert, Lightning Route, and Coco. My favorites were the Lightning Route and Coco.
Thanks for a great ride Komorebi! And convincing the rain not to start until we got to Hyattsville.

ParticipantSorry Ricky! I cancelled it on the rides thread but didn’t cancel it on the calendar. I owe you a danish or other snack/drink of your choice!

Participant Beerneuring Stop #1: Right Proper in Shaw. I had the “No Depression” which was a country alt, and tasty, although I would’ve preferred a slightly darker/more flavorful beer.

ParticipantTeam 2 is doing a (very last minute) happy hour today at Right Proper in Shaw at 6 if anyone is interested!
