ParticipantI’m in as well. Starting weight 236 target 226 by end of FS. Shall we celebrate our weight loss with pizza and beer?

ParticipantHi, looking forward to meeting and riding with everyone. This is my third FS season 2016 & 2017, took last year off because of back issues. I hope to ride everyday, I accomplished that feat the other 2 seasons, but we shall see. I live in Lake Ridge (Prince William County) but will drive to rides. I also have several routes “down south” that may be fun for you Northerners to try. I appreciate Josh being the captain, I served as one in 2017, and it does take some work. I will let you guys know in advance that I am old, fat, and crawl up hills, but can hold my own downhill. When our Government is open I work in DC, but living in PWC I do not commute.
See you soon,

ParticipantI recently went to the Bike Lane in Reston Towne Center on a friend’s recommendation. I found the folks there very easy to talk to and helpful. I purchased a bike and later a bike fit from them. I was able to watch how they interacted with customers and liked what I saw. I bought a Trek, I do not remember other brands since I was looking for a Trek. There is also A1 bike store just outside of Herndon, I shopped there and they had a good selection. Mixed reviews on the shop. You will hear about Green Lizard in Herndon, high end shop, not much in show room. Hope it helps.

I tried to delete my 2 posts but it says I do not have permission.

ParticipantMy first visit to District Doughnuts and towards our FS mixed group ride. I had the dark chocolate orange cream along with a peppermint chocolate one. Truth told, I ate both so fast all I can say they were both great, slight edge to the dark chocolate orange.

I will have to estimate the time we would be in a Bladensburg, and will do so later after I do my evening ride. As far as the lock, I was thinking we could post a sentry or 2 (for a doughnut?) for security. I will get back to you later, just got home from work

Ok, a quick guess is we will be in Bladensburg at 12 noon, if we get there earlier we will wait or do something to be at the Visitor Center at 12:00 before we head south, should anyone want to meet there. We will have 7 or more riders at this point.

shardg: any guesstimates as to what time you’ll be up in Bladensburg? A few of us northerners are thinking of meeting you there, riding down, then riding back up. Also, do you usually bring a lock for a ride like this, or do you think it’ll be safe to leave our bikes unlocked outside of the donut place?
Thanks!
