Hard rain and 20 mph winds for middle of the night Friday. I’m all for burnishing my Rule 9 bona fides, but I’m postponing Friday’s Midnight Saddles ride anyway.
Pencil in Saturday, October 31 for the next (costumed) Midnight Saddles.
SteveO- you know you want to come out to Hains Point tonight and Rule 9 it up!!!

ParticipantIf anyone’s up for it, going to Hains Point after work to knock out a century since my plans this weekend got washed up. 5:30pm to midnightish.

ParticipantIf anyone is up for it, going to knock out a century tonight after work at Hains Point- calling it the unofficial “Dead Man Joaquin Century”. Hope to finish by midnight.

ParticipantHoly smokes, Rod! Yay, Vicegrip. I just started a strava group, so you should be able to search for Power of 10 and join.

That would be a fine day for a Midnight Saddles ride, except I cannot participate due to family obligations. Others are welcome to organize a ride for that night–either instead of or in addition.
Hopefully there are enough people who are not riding a century on Saturday 10/3 to get a quorom for October 2.The next date I could organize and participate would be October 30/31, which we could do in costume.
I think s costumed Halloween midnight saddles would be amazing!!!!

ParticipantHow about Friday, October 10? Both Seagull Century and Culpeper are on Saturday the 3rd, which might limit participation.

ParticipantYes, definitely special prize for doing a mountain bike century- that is super hard core!!!
SarahBee
ParticipantYou can do centuries or metrics as frequently or as infrequently as you like. This time of yea there is at least one official ride a week. Also, Rod Smith has his own series going, which is definitely worth checking out!

ParticipantYou are such a jokester, Rod. It was your Sunday Century series that inspired me to find a way to gratuitously hand out stickers.
Maybe a special prize is warranted for doing an international century too, say from Kiev?
