That’s because the meeting is next Saturday. But just pretend it already happened. No need to worry…no terrorism or anything…honest…
Adult literacy is overrated.

I think Sara Bee should come to the meeting. And then we should have a party afterwards.
I registered for the meeting. A little early in the day to party, but you guys are welcome to over to my place for lunch after the meeting.

We should go terrorize Sarah Bee after the meeting. It’s almost in her ‘hood.
I awaited the terror, but it never arrived. Just wait until my next Virginia ride! Mwaaahahaha!!

Adventure Cycling’s Bike Travel Weekend is June 1-3 this year. I’m hosting a Bicycle Fun Club overnight bikepacking ride to celebrate this year. We’ll leave from Georgetown Waterfront Park on Saturday and ride the C&O Canal for about 40-50 miles, camp on the canal and enjoy the outdoors and each other’s company. We’ll return to DC the next day. I’m planning on tent camping, however if there is enough interest, I’ll look into renting one of the lockhouses which have beds and are indoors. Ride pace will likely be a leisurely 12-13 because the canal is really pretty and I’ll probably want to stop and take lots of nature pictures. We’re likely to see geese, deer, ducks, fish, and heron.
If you’re wondering how the heck to carry camping gear on a bike, ask for help here. There’s several folks that have bike camped before that can help.
If you’re planning on coming or thinking about it, please let me know on this thread. If you’re totally in for sure, then you should consider signing up for the even on the link below. If you do, you’ll receive a Bike Travel Weekend sticker and also be entered in the drawing for a Co-Motion Bicycle.
This sounds amazing! I don’t have any of the gear, but who doesn’t need more bike gear. I’m a 95% probable on a normal data curve.

Unbeknownst to Ricky, the sly duck flipped the lid on his lighter. Soon the smell of burnt hair would mingle with the smell of fresh doughnut.

@SarahBee – you have inspired me to get a little silly, with your sock mitts and such. And I have been going a little stir-crazy, no, SOCK-crazy while sick… I hearby challenge you… on the penultimate sock-contest day for BAFS2018. How many socks can YOU wear at once? [emoji57]
It started out simple…
Let me introduce the sock-scarf… (also, socks are attached to the pony-tails)
Keeps you nice and toasty while you’re out on a ride with your sweetie!
Millie- I did not have the time to get creative enough to make a sock scarf, sadly, but I was able to conjure up a unique pair of socks for every ride day of freezing saddles! Best of luck to you & I am a big fan of the pony-socky tail [emoji4]
