My ice cream intake is one of my top 5 reasons for riding. Beer intake is another.
It looks like I’m going to have both on this Saturday. I’m going to have a team group ride from 8:30 to 11, BBQ cook out with a lot beers until 3 PM. Hopefully, I will be sober by 6:00 PM for this ice cream ride.

ParticipantSince I bike to work, I have a happier and healthier lifestyle. The meditative time on trails with natural and people makes me a much better person.

I’ve already had my metabolism slow down once when I was in my mid-twenties. Turns out it wasn’t my metabolism, it was the fact that I was over eating and not getting enough exercise. Once I started exercising and eating more healthily “my metabolism sped up.”
I agree with this. My metabolism is higher now than 5 years ago since I started biking to work. My weight is less but I need to learn eating healthy. I don’t like the healthy food because it doesn’t taste good.
My friend said his sixty is healthier than his fifty or forty. Since his kids already had their own family, his wife doesn’t need him anymore and kick him out of the house. So, he goes biking all day long.

ParticipantDear Handsome White Toyota Landcruiser,
We’re doing paceline on the Westmoreland St McLean this morning. You’re too heavy for me to pull. I do mind that you’re drafting behind me. I’m sorry that there wasn’t enough room for you pass me. Please stay back when you see me next time.

Eating 30% protein 40% carbs 30% fat?
Getting enough calories?
Recommended grams of protein daily = kg body weight x .8.
If you’re eating a lot of simple carbs and not enough protein & fat you will be hungry! Thanks. It’s hard when I’m eating out all the time. I need to watch out the percentile.

ParticipantWhen I have a bad day or mad at someone. I convert all my negative energy to positive energy by riding all out on the big and long up hills. After the ride, I always feel great and got over the bad day quickly.

I say this with the greatest of affection for you two, but why do it if its boring
If part of the training is dealing with the boredom, then there is something I dont understand.
Group ride at HP is very fun, not boring. It’s a great place to do the paceline. You can get up there to pull until you tired and fall back in line. You don’t worry about getting lost if got dropped.

ParticipantI use the cheap Instep trailer from Target to haul the big beer cooler around. It’s sturdy but heavy. Like Tim said, you can put a normal baby car seat in it. It has two shoulder belts.

ParticipantThe C&O Canal is best for the inexperience young riders. It has very little traffic and no crossing. It’s shade and cool. You can stop by the Fletcher’s Landing to rent a rowboat and ride to Georgetown for lunch, dinner and ice cream. You need a hybrid or mountain bike.

ParticipantYou really need to trade in these bionx wheels for the mavic wheels. They’re great but support only human power assisted.
It doesn’t sound right. The new wheels should be true unless you hit something.

ParticipantIt’s good thing that it was only a mount fail. From the video, it looks like you were doing 360 flip and back on the bike.

Are they done paving on the Custis?
No, not the whole Custis trail. They repaved only from 18th street to S curve.
