ParticipantYou guys are so nice and helpful! Thanks for your ideas, all of them were good (even the rain one….!) All worth considering. Can’t wait for Spring to remain Sprung!

Check with your local hotel. When my office was in downtown (19th and M), we had a deal with the Marriott. It was like $100 for a year membership to their hotel gym facility.
They have to have it to market their hotel; but then it sits mostly unused. It was a great deal and I parked my bicycle in their garage! Added plus to have covered somewhat secure parking.
SW 7th and Virginia? Check out the Loews hotel in l’enfant. They have a fitness center on the roof. Membership wasnt major that I remember. Ah, but the hotel is closed during renovations.
USDA has a fitness center altho that may be fed only. There may be smaller or hotel based fitness centers in your area that you can join for a smallish fee.
I never thought about hotel fitness facilities. Good idea! Will look in to. Thanks!

When our showers underwent renovations I used the bathroom sink to wash my hair and large-size personal body wipes to clean off. For the shampoo I used a big Nats concession cup that I kept filling with water so I didn’t have to stick my head in the sink.
I was pretty surprised at how well that combination worked out. Amazon has a lot of options for personal body wipes.
edit – that idea definitely skeeved me out beforehand but my VERY HONEST officemates said it worked out.
I usually get my “biking” haircut about now anyway (like real short) so this would work. Plus my building has lots of bathrooms so I won’t inconvenience anyone. Thanks for the tip!
