Tet credit for riding on a day based on the time zone where I am, or do I need to ride on the day based on Eastern Time? Yesterday I could not (ok, did not) ride until just after 10:00 pm MST (early flight to LA and then back to Denver), so i rode on 1/14 where I was but it was already 1/15 back in DC? Strava shows my local time & Date in Denver, FWIW
Thanks. Obviously this matters as much as anything else in FS matters. So a great deal!
Freezing Saddles days are US Eastern time zone days. Strava stores rides in the local time zone. However, we now correctly calculate the time zone offsets for the Ride Days and various main leaderboards so that the times that count are compared to the local time in the DC area.

ParticipantI fixed the issues with the ride days and most other leaderboards having wacky time zone issues.

About our team status:
Our team status is understated because a couple of our team members (who correctly joined our club) are not showing up on the team leader-board, so their miles are not showing. I notified Chuck Penna.
Meanwhile everyone should check for their names and miles on https://freezingsaddles.org/leaderboard/individual_text. If your name or miles are missing here you’ll need to fix that.
Another teammate, Andy Greenwood, is not showing up anywhere. Anyone know Andy? I emailed him to let him know he has until Friday to complete signup.
Have some fun in the snow, everyone! David P
Just to be sure, the members not on the leaderboard should re-authorize: https://freezingsaddles.org/authorize and grant complete profile access.

ParticipantOh yeah – if you don’t see yourself on the individual or team leaderboards, but you do see yourself on the Friends of BAFS page, it means you have not joined your team’s Strava club yet, or you haven’t been assigned a team yet (if you registered late).

Just to clarify, only one of the rides to or from Metro counts right? So if you do bike-metro-bike you would only tag one of the rides?
I was assuming it was the other way – if you ride to metro and board during peak time, that counts as one ride, and if you depart metro during peak and start a ride during peak time it counts as another.
I’ve had some rides that have one component but not the other due to leaving Metro after peak. What says the prize sponsor?

ParticipantAll teams are now showing! If you are not on the board, make sure you join only one competition team and make sure you authorize the FS web site to read your full profile: https://freezingsaddles.org/authorize

ParticipantHere’s photos from my 2 Metro peak rides today. Silver line, Virginia Square to Reston between 9 and 10 AM. Silky smooth, uncrowded trains.

To score a point, ride your bike to or from a metro station and post a picture of your bike from that ride on the train during the newly opened peak hours (5 to 9:30 am and 3 to 7 pm weekdays). Put hashtag #bafsmetro in your ride to show up on the leaderboard, or post the pic and link to the ride here in this thread (hell, your impressions of the experience would be appreciated too).
Newly opened peak hours are from 5 to 10 am, and 3 to 7 pm. The original post had 9:30 AM. Please correct the rules cause Im about to post another ride starting at 9:55 AM

ParticipantIf you think your Pointless Prize _could_ have a leaderboard on the site, but you don’t have one now, please let me know and I’ll at least create an issue to track it. Depending on how hard it is, the tech team might even be able to implement it!
I’ve gone through the recent Pointless Prize posts and either put links in for the leaderboards or created issues in the freezingsaddles/freezing-web GitHub to track creation of the leaderboards.

ParticipantI just put in a Dumpling Ride leaderboard: https://freezingsaddles.org/pointless/generic/dumpling

ParticipantI just added a link to this to the Freezing Saddles menu. I may go for this tomorrow morning myself

ParticipantWe’ll work on building a proper leaderboard for this for the site, see: https://github.com/freezingsaddles/freezing-web/issues/84
This should be able to build on the excellent work that jrenaut is doing regarding the team scoring revisions.
