ParticipantThanks for all the helpful feedback everyone! It seems I touched on a topic in which many have passionate opinions. I suppose I’m still up in the air as many of you have offered up great advice on both approaches. For the time, I may just keep learning/searching and seeing what becomes available (whether that be components or a nice frame). Cheers.

ParticipantWould love to meet some of my Freezing Saddles team mates (and competitors!) at the Rosslyn stop – will definitely be there in the 8:00 hour. We need some kind of reserved table for us, amiright!?

ParticipantSame day as the Jamestown Gran Fondo! Now I have to make the decision — any thoughts??
My Arlington roots have me leaning more towards the Air Force ride but was really looking forward to the GF.

ParticipantLogged a few miles on the bike today (Lets go Team 1!) and was thinking – is there a page with an overall leaderboard that shows every team’s scores? If not, thats totally cool but would be a “nice to have”.
Happy New Years everyone!

ParticipantI’ve been biking DC for about 3 years now but only recently discovered this forum. After quite a bit of forum-lurking, I thought this would be a great initial thread to make my first reply.
My daily bike commute from Clarendon to DC is about 8 miles roundtrip, add in longer rides on weekends plus a few centuries and I’d like to get to over 3,500 in 2013. With Total 200 landing on my birthday next year, I might be crazy enough to give it a go!
I’m positive I must ride with many of you on the bike paths and on the L St. Cycle Track most days, so if you see a guy on a gray+bright red fixie, say hello!
