With the weather we’ve been having lately I don’t find that much difference between riding in the rain and not, except it’s a bit cooler usually when it’s raining. But then the rain stops and the humidity comes up.

There’s technically a route past fair lakes: you have to divert on monument, follow west ox, and pick it back up at 29. It’s kinda silly, but I assume they couldn’t figure out how to work the intersection. And, of course, they’re not fixing that with the new interchange.

If they’d just pave it once per decade or so it would be pretty good. They seem to pave the actual parkway every couple of years, is it so unreasonable to just send a little bit of the asphalt 20 feet to the right?

There was an incongruous scooter chained to the bike parking at vienna metro the other day. I guess some people are confused about whether they’re riding a bike.
