OK, here’s where I stand on the Strava Everest challenge: 9200 feet to go in four days (the challenge ends on Thanksgiving). Tomorrow and Tuesday I’ll commute and get maybe 900 feet per day, so down to about 7400. But Wednesday looks like a washout, so I’ll probably work from home and not ride. So the full 7400 to do on Thanksgiving. I figure if I get the turkey in the oven by about 10am, ride from then until noon (maybe 3k), take an hour break for lunch and dry clothes, ride from 1 to about 3pm (maybe another 3k), get a shower and eat. It’s a 15.5 pound turkey, stuffed, so figuring in the curvature of the earth and the phase of the moon, probably dinner at 4pm. Then go back out after dinner for a hour to finish?
It’s unlikely but possible. Even unlikelier if it snows Wednesday night — hill repeats on an unplowed road on a single speed mountain bike sound fun in theory, but not 7k worth I don’t think. Then again, Friday will be a rest day…

ParticipantSo I have z bars on my fixie. And after close to 1000 miles I want drop bars. But I am not sure the frame will work for those. I am curious what you choose.
