ParticipantI bought a Kinetic Road Machine used off of Craigslist for $200 last week. It’s quiet, and much more stable than the Travel-Trac it replaced! I just recently started using it with Zwift, and have to say the workouts go by much quicker than when I’m watching TV…

Participantthe temperature swings were fun! LOL.. one second, I was thinking “Maybe I should drop my outer shell, it’s kinda warm”, the next second-“Holy hell, must be blowing off of a cold spot on the water”… Repeat 3-4 times every lap….

You: Red Riding Hood…or at least a female cyclist wearing a red dress with white tights, long red coat with very pretty embroidery, a red hood, short boots, with woven baskets on the front and back of her bike.
Me: Checking the trail and surrounding forest for wolves before complimenting you on your awesome coat.
That was seriously a cute outfit, and the bike baskets really pulled the whole look together.
I think there was more than one of us wearing that outfit yesterday- which trail?

Monkey Lights has a kickstarter for a new type of wheel light that will be not only very bright (one of them is 200 lumens, which is as bright as some headlights) but rechargeable. They’ve also got extra features like being very water resistant and turning on automatically when you ride. And they have a three-year warranty. Cost ranges from $29 to $54 for a set for one wheel, $49 to $83 for sets for two wheels, and there’s even a possibility of more sets for you tricycle riders, or if you have more than one bike. I signed up. For anyone else who wants to, here’s the link.
Thanks for the link! signed up for a couple of sets

ParticipantI’m sorry I’m not any help for finding your Garmin, but just wanted to offer a little advice for everyone else-
Load your personal info onto your Garmin, either at the startup screen:
https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/08/display-number-garmin.htmlOr if you have an older unit (like me)- load a text file into the memory! Last year, I found an older Edge on the side of the W&OD. It had been there for a WHILE!!! After taking it home, I remembered this tip and checked the files. Sure enough, the owner had loaded her info! She had lost it a couple months before!

I’ll also try and figure out how to mount a backward-facing camera on my road bike like I do for my hybrid so that in future road bike rides I can get more of people’s front side than back side. On my hybrid, I mount the camera to one of my rear baskets, but I don’t have much on the back of the road bike. Stuff to figure out, I guess.

I bought this combo about 6 months ago and have been very happy with it. once tightened, I haven’t had to touch the seat mount, and the handlebar mount I’ve moved between three different bikes several times.

ParticipantIf you are hearing noise from the drive line, it’s causing extra wear. Other than that, I wouldn’t worry about crossing things up that much
