Participant2/15/21 – “St Skeletor’s Day” Subanagram (5 or more letters) or Human Skeleton
No skeletons in my neighborhood, alas. But I was confident that I should be able to find a lottery sign on the local 7-11. I did, but the lettering was TINY so I zoomed in for this collage image.

Participant2/14/21 – Heart
Just as I left my house with my bike, I witnessed two middle school aged boys walking down the sidewalk, one of whom was carrying a heart-shaped box wrapped with a bow. I didn’t have the heart to interrupt their intense conversation and ask to take a picture of their gift on its way to be delivered, although that would have been perfect.

Participant2/13/21 – Diner
Bentley’s Falls Church Diner. I think they’re closed and have actually changed hands but the sign is still up near the street. Hard to see the bike but it’s there.
Someone started calling out a 2nd floor window to invite me upstairs so I didn’t take long to snap a photo and quickly move along.

Participant2/10/21 – 5 or 6 point Star (but not on American flag)
I had the intention of keeping it simple and stopping by Starbucks on the way to the pharmacy to pick up Rx. Then I rode by a VA Civil War Trail sign with 3 stars and a bugle. That would work, but those aren’t very unique around here. Instead I came back around to capture a star incorporated into a fence art display at the local elementary school. It was by far the coolest star I saw on my errand run today.

A new to us discovery — BaddPizza in Falls Church — which has turned out to be pretty tasty.

Participant2/7/21 – Superb Owl (or a few alternatives)
An artistic rendering of a superb owl found roosting in a little free library. My fallback was going to be Fowler St.

Lil City Creamery in Falls Church
I was going to treat my husband to some ice cream so that I could get the selfie, but alas the Creamery was closed.

Participant2/4/21 – Rose or Rosa
Rosemary Lane in Falls Church
On my way back from riding up and down Rosemary Ln a few times, I was reminded that there is also a Rose Place nearby.
But this sign was prettier so I went with it.

Wow – you guys had some very clear looking roads and sidewalks! Here in Western Fairfax I was even nervous driving my car over to Falls Church for an errand. After the errand, I needed to go to Target (sister’s bd card) so went to Mosaic. Fortunately, I had my bike and gear in the car “just in case” so I rode way too many stupid laps in the parking garage to get my sleeze miles. And as I finished, I came across this little beauty.
Earlier today I was checking out recent activity on Strava to see what people were doing. I saw crayon-scribble marks over the Mosiac parking garage and I thought, “That’s a great idea. Maybe I can go ride circles in the garage.” But then I continued to hear sets of car tires spinning out on my icy, hilly street in Falls Church and decided just to stay home.
