Why is it when someone dies, they don’t report whether that person was wearing a helmet?
Because that’s used as a victim blamey American cultural tic and a distraction from where the nature of and responsibility for a persons death arises in this particular situation?

I was on a CaBi when I passed the three and grumbled that they were far enough down the bridge that I would cause more of a mess by stopping to move them off the bridge. I’m not trying to sound paranoid, but they sure appeared to have been placed there.
I stopped the other afternoon to sling a scooter in the middle of the bridge over my shoulder and ride it down to the bottom on the VA side. It was def. one of the sketchiest feeling things I’ve done on a bike. Those things are awkward to carry – do not recommend.

Dear LSG (if that’s even your real name):
I’m starting to get sidewards glances at Coffee Clubs, people curious about the fact that they see me at coffee club every once in a while, but all I ride are sleaze rides. It’s getting more difficult to keep this up…
I’m going to need some more “motivation.” Like maybe you providing the prize for the Catch and Release pointless prize? Maybe a bag of coffee from Commonwealth Joe. Otherwise I’m going to have some Full Disclosure here.

I do like that brand of covfefe, and buying myself a bag of it is a great suggestion. Thank you Peter Dinklage, you should join my team one of these days, I like your work.

ParticipantThe disinformation campaign in this thread is strong, and I don’t know about that guy, but he seems to be enjoying that cup of restroom brew.

You can’t just go posting things like this in our team’s thread and have me not see it until just now 😡

ParticipantI don’t know what this was all about and frankly I don’t care, because it didn’t happen. If any more libelous conspiracy theories about my team are printed in this thread I’ll have to launch an investigation, maybe into the emails. People are saying there’s some stuff going on with children and bikes and winter. Sounds horrible, you wouldn’t want to be associated with organizing something like that.

ParticipantWell Hobbes wasn’t enthusiastic about any of the camping spots I showed him on the way home, but he is interested in going to the New District Brewery tonight so somebody will likely run into him there.

Picked up “Dim Sum” dumplings (left) and “Szechuan Wontons” (right) from Tsim Yung in Del Ray.
The dumplings tasted like Dinty Moor beef stew. Take from that what you will. The Wontons were bizarre, I guess they were once deep fried and then stewed in a spicy brown sauce to a tough and chewy consistency. I’ll have no part of that again.LeprosyStudyGroup
ParticipantI’m happy to report that I was wrong about the fate of that bike. Someone moved it to a not-far off bike rack and I spotted it again yesterday morning. I decided to give it a ride. In addition to the missing handlebar, the back wheel is bent just enough that it can just barely roll over. With the one hand and healthy shimmy, going anywhere on it was a bit like riding one of those mechanical bulls. I dropped it off at the bathroom.

ParticipantSiberian Hobbes has been rescued most likely from a bomb squad…
That polished marble fountain slope, now covered in thin ice, was fuckin dangerous. I loved it.

ParticipantI’m submitting this great cubist self portrait Bob made with his ride. It was very considerate of him to post the reference photo right next to it but I edited it for those who aren’t used to seeing things in cubist just in case
