    2/11/21 – Movie Poster

This is the saddest scavenger day. Movie theaters are closed, posters are faded, if up at all, and it just makes me sad. My poster says coming in December. Which one?

2/10/21 – 5 or 6 point Star (but not on American flag)

These stars represent Reston’s villages. Included the double bikes for cuteness.

Not sure you were saying Pupatella was your favorite pizza place, but that is my number one to go. :)

It was my first time there and it will probably be my favorite, but remember, I’m from New Jersey and there is killer pizza there so it takes a lot to make it my favorite. They have a video game when the insides open again.

    2/9/2021 – Pizza

Today I went to the converted Pizza Hut in our Reston treasure McTacoHut. Right off the trail at Wiehle Road. While still settling on a name McTacoPup?, I enjoyed a ham & mushroom neopolitan pie. Now I was going to eat half and save half as I am an Affectionato of leftover pizza but it was a beautiful day, the sun was warm, the box was too big for the backpack and more excuses than I can remember, so I left two crust. It was very good. You could even metro to Reston get your miles and finish with a pie. Come on out, I’ll meet you, masked of course.

2/8/21 – the word “Japanese” on a sign

So, back in the hood and on the bike. Rode 32 miles to find this sign 2 blocks from the house. Insurance find.

It’s a place called Class 520, on the College Park University of Maryland campus. They pour the unfrozen ice cream onto a large cold plate, mix it, and then peel it up to make the rolls. It tastes about the same, but the first one I had, for instance, was lychee, and was delicious with chunks of fruit in it.

I think Petals at hunters woods serves rolled ice cream.

1/6/2021 Ice cream, yes lots of lickers on the sidewalk

So, Denville was hit hard by hurricane Irene. After they reopened they had flood mud flavor. But they reopened! This is the town where Bruce Weber turn left to go to NYC after crossing the country in Like is a Wheel. cute town but I couldn’t find the bike shop, mostly electrics and fluff, I think the pandemic got them. Also, we must not speak about Jersey drivers!

2/5/21 – Stationary Clock or Other Time Telling Device

I missed my first park, found a park walked the bike thru 10” of snow to get my bike into the picture. Behind the park sign was this cute timepiece so I’m sharing. Boonton, NJ was where my Dad was a family doctor, Main Street has 4 pizza and 3 coffee shops and a movie theater where you walk in under the screen. Fun Sopranos fact: when Vito goes to New Hampshire, the town of Dartford was really Boonton. The clock is in the park filmed in the Sopranos and I biked passed the B&B on Cedar St.

    2/4/21 – Rose or Rosa

So, suited up to visit a high school friend who moved off Split Rock Road in Boonton, NJ (big scenes in the Sopranos). Split Rock is a little mountain kind of road, up up then down down. I was totally worried about finding any writing much less specific words because I was biking the valley toward Kinnelon. I looked up from the driveway and out of the heavens a rose appeared on the street. I’m taking it!
