1/25-The Toll Road, Fairfax Parkway overpass, Metro and Reston Town Center. I moved to Reston in 1978, 44 years ago. Nothing in this picture was here. We got to DC on thrown way buses from Jersey City, paper tickets to the Busmeister using route 7 through McLean. It was brutal. I don’t know if all the street lights and tall buildings make for a better Reston life but it is sure different.

Wednesday should be balmy, maybe. Consider joining the RBC Ramble.https://restonbikeclub.org/event-4641673 We leave from The Bike Lane in Reston @ 10am for 20 miles thru Herndon. The test as to whether the ride will go is the condition of the W&OD as of Tuesday afternoon. If you are not a member you get one ride “free” before you have to join ($25). The 2022 liability waiver is on the home page & in the event. For those working anyone interested in an Arlington Loop on Saturday?

1/14/2021-While W&OD trail patrolling: trip to Carolina Brother’s barbeque and Wegmans. The carrots didn’t fit in the bag so on top they went. I’m glad I didn’t have to stop to for a mechanical because the carrots are useless.
