My wife was placed on a different team, so that makes for some interesting “you really shouldn’t go out because it isn’t safe” with the undertone of “I don’t feel safe in this and don’t want you getting more points than me” discussions, and “you need to stay home and do these dishes whilst I go for a ride”

My mom just tells me she loves me and to be safe.

Just did a very snowy 2.5 miles on CaBi only to have my phone freeze, shut down, and not record the ride. 😡

Hope I didn’t set the bar too high and kill this one from the outset.

Trouble. I often top off my CaBi rides and don’t reset the strava run, but here is my entry at 5.6 miles. https://www.strava.com/activities/238740933

I knew I should have posted directly from #FCC. These pictures were taken at 0755 this morning. Solo was Jwetz from team 12, the immediate steal was by team number fun.

I was able to ride to my PT appointment this morning. After the work done to me by my physical terrorist, I had to take a car2go to the office. Hopefully I’ll be able to ride to work again tomorrow morning. Being in a car makes me cranky.

My ride home had an issue today, it seemed to stop recording actual data (time included) about Euclid and 14th, but gave me the full distance and that bumped my speed average up it seems. Probably closer to what my actually moving speed average is as I’m a vehicular cyclist, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Hope it doesn’t break any pointless prizes. https://www.strava.com/activities/244763776

That’s okay. Make sure your body is fully healed before heading out, as any lingering injury will be exponentially increased in magnitude if you get hurt again. Rest up and get some hot chocolate or ice cream or both (I get cravings for ice cream when it’s cold outside)!

I’d love to get some ice cream, but the wife has stuffed the freezer so full of fruit and other crap that there isn’t any room. 😡

Update on getting hit with a car.

Good news from the doctor, likely just bad bruising and strain injuries.
Bad news from the doctor, he wants me to take it easy for a few days, so I’m not going to do much more than to and fro work for mileage. Hopefully will get a longer ride in this weekend.

After a visit with a PT this morning, a longer ride this weekend is looking unlikely. Sorry to let the team down, I’ll go for some penance rides when I feel better.

    Ouch.

Do bike rides in other locals count? I have a work trip to Manchester, NH, coming up and will check my folding bike if I can get some mileage/days in that way.

Did you get info for insurance purposes? I would think she would need to pay for bike repairs and any medical bills.

Yes. Her insurance company has already accepted responsibility, now it’s a matter of doing paperwork.
