jrenautParticipantDealing with time zones and dates is one of the most difficult things in coding. It would really be much easier if we could just count seconds since the beginning of time and correct for time zones only when you need to display for a person.

This Saturday is supposed to be even colder than the Saturday a few years ago when I organized a ride to Port City and dragged the kids along. That ride is the only time I have thought that, in hindsight, we should not have done. The kids were COLD. I brought a blanket for them to wrap up in but it didn’t really work.
We might do something a little more local this weekend and save Port City for either warmer weather or when we can ditch the kids.

jrenautParticipantNote: The generic hashtag leaderboard is now live. If you go to https://freezingsaddles.com/pointless/hashtag/BAFS2018, you’ll see the leaderboard for every ride tagged #BAFS2018. This works for any hashtag that uses only letters and numbers. It is currently case sensitive, but there is some discussion of changing that.

Anyone can join the Strava club. Nothing there is ever official. And it goes by week, not date, so it only matches up when Jan 1 is on a Monday.
jrenautParticipantIt might take a little time – we only pull rides every so often, so you may be authorized and not showing because it just hasn’t gotten to your ride yet. If you have reauthorized, join the Strava club, and waited a few hours and still nothing, let us know.
