ParticipantThese two huge metal objects have been on the pedestrian walkway of key bridge for the past couple of weeks. On the inbound side. Looks like house siding.

ParticipantKeep it one way, make another westbound cycle track on M street.
And most importantly get cars to stop parking in the cycle track. I’ve noticed less delivery trucks and more cars parked lately.

Participant^ great post. I had a missed connection tonight on the WOD just west of ayr hill rd. another biker was passing a group of people and I had to do a panic stop to avoid a head on collision. I saw it coming, though and said nothing, just avoided the accident. I am sure that person will be more careful next time. I don’t see how yelling and throwing a tantrum would have helped at all. I find that being the better person is more satisfying in the long run. Definitely is less stressful.

ParticipantRegarding shoaling – I think part of the problem is that most people do not consider bicycles to be an actual mode of transportation – more like going for a walk for entertainment. If the shoalers realized how rude it is they probably wouldn’t do it. It is annoying as he’ll though!

ParticipantIf you do filter up beside a row of parked cars, watch out out for jaywalking pedestrians popping out to cross the street. Also, make sure your brakes are in perfect condition.

Some really good points here and another reason why I am considering a camera myself. Besides it’s obvious use for evidence, it will also make me more accountable for my own actions.
Not me, I’m the opposite. I find I do more stupid and dangerous stuff while my camera is on so I can get some good footage!

I once passed a runner going up a hill, then he passed me near the top. It was humbling.
Did the runner call his pass?

Participanton more than one occasion I have turned into Angrypants McCursey. But honestly if you are following 2 feet behind me with one earbud in not making a peep about it, then that’s already an “f you” in my book and I am just returning the favor verbally.
Nice. More angry people. Why not direct your anger towards bad drivers? Have you ever been hit by another bicyclist? If so I can understand your anger, but a car will do more damage.

I do not need a friend; I just need to get home safely. If, however, you are lonely, might I suggest you give JNVA a call? I won’t cop to his identification (I’ve only thrown one hissy fit this year) but it sounds like you and he have a lot in common.
I don’t quite understand the hipster language that good so I’m not exactly sure what you are trying to say. But since you mentioned me I feel obligated to respond.
FWIW, when its late and I’m tired, my old eyes have a hard time seeing at night so I will follow a bike on the trail, but never right on the wheel. I got yelled at by some crazy person so I guess I won’t be doing that anymore. Just calm down people, your riding a bike for crying out loud. It’s safer than a car. Bright lights and all.

I would have happily passed you, but your furious F-bombs-of-fury made me want to at least ask “How are you doing?” I don’t think your are a “stuck up asshole” as you said, rather, I think you are a guy who needs a friend, ear, and good ride.
This sounds a lot like the angry guy I passed a few weeks ago. We need to come up with a name for this guy. He certainly does hate people behind him.

really I was judging his actions….. lesson here… don’t judge.
Yeah, I agree. If someone wants to shoal me i really don’t care anymore. Just let them go… Now what I really have a hard time letting go is dangerous car drivers. I definitely judge them! On the weekends when I drive, I find it hard to be an aggressive driver because I’m used to riding my bike so slow. Drivers should be required to ride a bike, exclusively for a couple of weeks before getting a license to drive a car!
