Bird called March 4 and posted on my Strava ride March 4. If posting late here disqualifies, C’est la vie
Named Creek from March 7, captured on ride today March 9. Rock Creek and as an aside, the bridge shown is named Boulder Bridge designed and built in 1902 by the US Army Corps of Engineers.
I realize this public art does not count because i forgot to include my bike. Regardless this bronze is in front of Christ House on Columbia Road in Adams Morgan. CH provides services to homeless men. The artist says the figure is jesus christ in contemporary attire washing the feet of people who pass by.
2/26 at Bladensburg Waterfront Park, Bird and Bike both evoke a sense of freedom and power to travel across perceived boundaries.
