Oh gREAT!!! I went to Traffic Skills 101 here in Little Rock yesterday afternoon and I KNOW those roads and still made a mistake on a merge road cuz the upcoming lane had a washed out white line… well long story short, we were all safe as the car behind let us over to go left to get to the coffee shop.. but nice of you to tell me about DC! won’t this be an adventure to demonstrate my traffic skills! I will rent a road bike since that is what I am most familiar with and you are right they will deliver to Union Station. Thanks on hotel, yes the person booking it looked up the distance to the WABA ctr. I figured with those long days, I wanted to be close!! gouging me on the Sunday night pre conference though. well not gouging but doubling! is that technically a gouge/!!

Little Rock, why come here. In september we have a famous Big Dam Bridge 100 and shorter distances that goes over our world’s longest pedestrian/cycling bridges. over the Arkansas River joining LR to NLR. It is our biggest century in the state. Our Marathon coming up has the largest marathon medals… all sorts of mt biking, triathlons, canoeing, etc makes our motto “Arkansas is a natural”.. very true! I read on the League website that Arkansas ranks 50th, but I personally think our adventuresome athletics is one of our best assets.

Have a Great President’s day! I have some homework to do so scooting off. m

No I haven’t asked WABA, wow, what a good idea!

in the meantime, bikes the sights called me back and I wondered if for LCI, I needed a hybrid or a road bike. FYI if you rent for more than one day, the price drops 50%. anyways, I have emailed the League about that ?. so the bike rental would be picked up at Union Station if I need to rent from Bike the sights. so whew… I have a bike!!

I looked up WABA to be 2599 Ontario Road, NW which is where I think the seminar to be… and so I got a hotel at 1842 16th Street, NW. now if the seminar is somewhere else, I might need to know that!!! on 2nd thought!!

(this is my 3rd time to type this as I as having tech difficulties!!) so now I am briefer
    1. Booked Windsor Hotel as it was cheapest, free wifi, bfast and only .8 mile from WABA and one mile from Renaissance. I can cancel if I need to by 28 Feb so there is that!!
    2. left message with Bike the Sights as their road bikes are closed for the season but Union Station has comfort bikes,, hope to hear back from them.

    3. I would love to borrow a bike!! good info on flat pedals, I will bring some if needed. I am 5’4″, 120 lbs and rode a small Trek tri bike Speed concept.
    4. I work part time at Chainwheel, lbs, but started my own business Beyond Fit, LLC (FB, Pinterest & Twitter) and wanted the soonest LCI certification even though we have it in mid April… so I got on DC wait list and got in!! so did a combo with women’s summit! so now I have a place to stay and am all signed up !!! with no bike, which I can see the funny side of that!! I am sure it will all work out and I can change lodging for less $ if something comes up. Part of the fun of cycling is the adventure!!! YOLO
