Loved the week-end ride with y’all. And now this week, as the temps drop, penguins come into their own!

    I need help. Addicted.

This has been fun these past days, but how many times can you check the leaderboard without it getting undignified.

And does anyone realize how easy it is to get the word ‘penguins’ into just about any conversation, and then start to explain to the unwitting victim what a primal penguin is.

    E.g. today…

Someone said “well that’s a feather in her cap” she will want.

Me: Yes, especially if its a primal penguin feather.

    Victim: What?

Me: Oh let me explain. You see there’s this thing called freezing saddles.

Victim: I have to go to lunch.

This is not an infiltrator from the team coming second. Honestly.

This is the kind of question that deserves proper attention. I suggest that team 7 take a three day retreat on this and really workshop it. Take off those bike shoes, and think through a name that will inspire you for the rest of the campaign.

If you all promise to stay off your bikes, I swear I will vote you as the best named team.

    Hi Kitty and fellow Penguins.

Greetings from Dublin and sorry to have missed the Happy Hour. Between a man cold and this trip to Ireland, I’ve made a wimpy start, but hoping to commute most days from uptown DC to downtown and am definitely up for any group get togethers on a week-end. 25-50 sounds perfect. Don’t have a mountain bike.

I’m Irish and American, 54, and I don’t mind a bit of rain. And this is my first Freezing Saddles. We have one car in the family, and when I’m not chauffeuring my 15 year old to see her boyfriend (yikes!), I like to bike.

I’ve missed a day or two, and barely squeeked in a mile on some cold days at the start, but hoping to pick it up when I return on Monday.

And delighted to join this group, and love the name! Right now, I’m working up to being a penguin. Not sure primal is on the cards till February or March. :)

I will request to join the Strava group now.

Looking forward to the months ahead and to meeting those of you in DC at some point.

First timer. Not sure what worries me more. The cold or other riders daft enough to do this.
