Because his work on the telescope paved the way to celestial observations, here is a view of some stars.

My fall back plan was to photograph something indigo colored in homage to the Indigo Girls’ song “Galileo” stuck in my head as I rode today.Indiana
ParticipantStopped to pick up a can to donate to this Little Free Library pantry outside Yes organic market on 12th St NE DC and must have forgotten to restart Strava. But left some soup and Encyclopedia Brown book to the nearly empty library.

Participant2/8/2022 Aquarius
Apparently five U.S. presidents were born under the sign Aquarius. 4 died in office and the 5th was also shot.
Abraham Lincoln (February 12), Franklin D. Roosevelt (January 30), Ronald Reagan (February 6), William McKinley (January 29), and William Henry Harrison (February 9).

Great Little Free Library in the 600 Block of F St NE DC. Good adult selection. Perhaps could use more social justice related titles to accompany the flags and signs displayed proudly around it.

Apparently the United States has had two Capricorn presidents: Richard Nixon and… Woodrow Wilson. Here’s the Woodrow Wilson memorial:

PLEASE tell me that’s a Little Free Library! So awesome!
Yep! One of my favorites. It’s outside Brookland’s Finest restaurant in NE DC, which is worth a stop if you’re in the neighborhood. Parts include bike gears, a computer keyboard, and a pretty accurate temperature gauge. I think I used it earlier in the LFL contest on a snowy day.

One can only hope that if Nostradamus’ interpreted predictions for the rise of robots in 2022 comes true, they’ll be friendly and come bearing books like this one.

I didn’t know of this Public Art (did you get a pic w/your bike to count for Public Art Finder prize?). Very nice though!
I do enjoy the “Preamble” license plate art in the Smithsonian Art Museum…another good one if you’re not aware.I didn’t lay down to get my bike in the picture.
I had to look up the preamble license plate art, cool! https://americanart.si.edu/artwork/preamble-27722
I don’t think I’ve seen that in person yet. -
