ParticipantGEA BIKE TRAIL: Mission completed!
We mixed up epic rides single track up on the monutains, bikepacking, and the Great Apennine Excursion path.
Result is the hardest bikepacking course in Italy, the first unsupported mtb ultratrail on ridgeline single tracks.
Un undescribable adventure for tough riders.
550 km, 22000 m of elevation, 10 km portage.
The first 2 riders completed the trail in the past days…
The way is open, adventure is calling.

ParticipantYes, they usually made holes like M on the bb and sometimes on shifters to lighten the bike…

ParticipantNo guys, it is Mattolini bike, it was a road racing bicycle builder that produced frames and handcrafted parts till 90’s. This bike was the last owned by my grandfather, produced in 70’s.
I think you can not know Mattolini, it was a little factory in Sesto Fiorentino, near Florence… may be only a few Mattolini’s bikes are still living.florencebiketours

ParticipantThis is not spam, it’s just sharing any photos from a tour with a 70’s hand crafted bike. I know that sneakers looks bad but during the ride i had to walk so old ciclying shoes could be the wrong choise..
