ParticipantBut if it was a carefully selected forum thread ……..
More seriously, though, what is the count up to?

ParticipantI just ordered a new bike with 50 mm tires so this will give me an additional incentive to ride it!

ParticipantI think a prize based on evaluating people’s smugness can only end badly. But it would be a lot of wicked fun, however!

ParticipantThanks all for the confirmation/clarification, and the moral support. I was not really upset about my lost day last year, just annoyed in a OCD way (and with little justification since I was dimly aware that rides were based on DC time and I was not willing to make the sacrifices necessary to assure a “legal” ride). I am intrigued however, by opportunities to game the system based on different time zones! Maybe I can gain back my lost day.
My question was triggered mainly by the fact that the Sticky did not make clear that rides were logged based on DC time and that that should be made clear (assuming I just did not miss the reference).

ParticipantAnother little known fact: FS Minutemen got their sleaze ride in while scrambling to fight the redcoats

ParticipantWe hold these truths to be self-evident: that riding a bike is awesome!

ParticipantThis may be more of a rules question than a technology question, but do I get credit for riding on a day based on the time zone where I am, or do I need to ride on the day based on Eastern Time? Yesterday I could not (ok, did not) ride until just after 10:00 pm MST (early flight to LA and then back to Denver), so i rode on 1/14 where I was but it was already 1/15 back in DC? Strava shows my local time & Date in Denver, FWIW
Thanks. Obviously this matters as much as anything else in FS matters. So a great deal!

ParticipantOh No! This is NOT the kind of report I like reading. I hope you heal up soon and without complications. Here’s to a speedy recovery

ParticipantPlans have not changed. I plan to leave from the Gazebo in “downtown” Takoma Park at 9:30, meet friends at the French School on Beach Dr. (Corner of Woodbine & Beach) at 10 and head north from there. Route is posted in the original post. Please respond here if you plan to meet me. I will have my Shocking Green BAFS ankle bands on if you are looking for me on the road
Hope to see some other Freezers out on what promises to be a balmy day.
