Ride home was great. Hardly anyone on the trail. And yes the sunset was beautiful.

I don’t even remember learning to ride, it seems like I have always known and always ridden a bike. I was a what was in those days called a “Tom Boy” my mom was awesome though we use to go to the dump and pick out bike parts and build our bikes. We didn’t have a lot of money but boy did we have some cool bikes. I used to build ramps and was always jumping my bike over things. Breaking bikes but thankfully never body parts.

my competitive nature is surely making me ride more considering the fact that I have NEVER ridden in the winter before but I hate to lose so this whole competition thing has been an awesome thing. I have ridden with a headlight in the dark. Which I love, I never thought I would do that. Now we shall see how whimpy I get when there is wet or snow out there. I am not at all sure about that. But I love a challenge so we shall see and after the marathon training this winter riding is way way easier, evertime I ride and coast past a jogger I grin. I love coasting.

Team 6 seems to like being in 6th place. But we will catch those in front of us
I am just sure there will be slackers. As long as it doesn’t rain, I am not doing rain and cold.

Not that I am competitive or anything. I cannot believe I rode this whole week.

my top layer is a wind jacket. I am surprised at how comfortable I am. I thought it would be a lot worse of course I don’t know how cold it is going to get. I am hoping for a warm jan, feb and march.

Some of us “Feds” are so vital our work would collapse without us. I fear the Army would not work if I were not here at work tabulating numbers. oh wait that isn’t it, I am here because I take to many days off during the summer. I can’t help it I love the sun. I still cannot believe I am even out on my bike in the winter. But I will say I am sure I could win the prize for the most layers. I wear 4 layers on top, bike shorts and two layers of pants (one tights and one a bit looser) all of these are running clothes that are supposed to be for extreme cold. Two pairs of socks, a hat that goes over my whole head and covers my face. Glasses and two pairs of gloves. i am going to be so much lighter come summer time just because i will get to peel off all these clothes, but I am warm. Told you I hate cold. :)

This evening was especially cold for me tonight when the sun went down. I was feeling
A bit cold but I do love riding with the headlight. Very cool.

Photos of the injuries. At least the skinned knee. Hope you heal quickly.
