I’m sorry to hear it, man.. :(

Have you contacted the pd about it? They would be able to keep a pretty good eye out for it, especially given the color pattern.

I would suspect MGM would want to encourage bicycle riding given the ease of riding over from Alexandria.

I was thinking the same thing. MGM knows business and they will try to accommodate as many potential travel methods as possible toward their new casino.

Schwinn sting ray! Not my first but one of my favorites. I rode it to school, I rode it on dirt. I rode it everywhere. I don’t think I ever loved a car as much as that bike!

Man, I loved my Schwinn growing up! Just got a Fastback a little while ago, still love the feel of it.

You: Insane person in white Jeep on 15th north of V approximately four feet before the bike lane begins and I’m out of your way, passing me with much less than 3 feet to spare
    Me: “Three feet!”
You: screeching to a stop. “What did you say?”
Me: “The law in DC is three feet to pass”
    You: “[Incoherent swearing]”
    Me: “Get off the phone.”
You: “Are you going to make me?”

By this point you looked like you might swerve into my lane and run me over.

    Me: “Learn to drive.”
    You: “[More incoherent swearing]”.
Me: “Bye!” with a big smile.

In hindsight, neither my most Dirt moment nor a particularly good idea. But I didn’t swear, and I think he was mostly pissed that I was calm and laughing at him as he blew his top.

    Hahahah! Perfect response!

I’m thinking about Bike Route 1 to Richmond and then riding the Cap to Cap on May 10. Yeah, it looks like the Bike Route 1 may have some unpleasant parts.

Cap to Cap looks awesome. I may be signing up for the 25. The 100 would probably kill me haha

Welcome! Tell us more about where you like to ride. Where is your commute and what kind of bike do you like to ride?

Well, I just moved to Arlington from Boston a few weeks ago so I haven’t really found much of a usual route yet. I mostly ride for exercise on a Schwinn I’ve had forever now. What are some good areas to ride through? Any tips are more than welcome.
