oh yikes, yeah that doesn’t sound like a good idea. I’d rather get off the trail a bit earlier and loop through some of the more residential areas
There is a narrow crushed gravel path that runs along the side of the firehouse which is ridable if you have relatively wide tires. You still have to ride in the west end driveway of the firestation (the end that is opposite from where the trucks emerge) and then hop on the path on the right side.

ParticipantWoohoo! I’m ready to go!
For the team name, I vote for “Don’t H8 the 8s”.

Here’s an idea for a nice ride the Yeam (Team!) can do on Saturday: https://www.facebook.com/events/188005448214168/
This is the Port City Pedals & Pints Short Ride. It’s a relaxed 10-some mile ride from the Brewery along Holmes Run. When you finish, there’s beer! You can knock out a Beernuering entry too.
I’m planning to ride and will be doing my usual pre-ride carboloading at Best Buns around 9, rolling to Port City from there around 10. Sign up on FB if you’d like to do the ride and feel free to join me at BB for the ride over.
I will try to make it tomorrow.

ParticipantThe lanes along Wilson between Glebe and George Mason are very narrow and cyclists would definitely benefit from having sharrows along that stretch.
