ParticipantI’m in for the contribution but my broom hiding skills clearly suck so the home for the next one is on someone else
dbb
ParticipantWell that turned out badly. At 0700 the broom was gone and there was glass (fresh since 1700 yesterday) on both bridges north of the connector. I’m conceding that Anomad’s stealth approach may have been better.
Broom. We hardly knew you.

ParticipantThere is now a broom on the MVT bridge closest to the Crystal City Connector. Not sure how long it will last.

ParticipantMore info. This morning I was on the Crystal Drive bike path (northbound) near the Starbucks at 23d St. There was a smashed Miller High Life bottle in the bike path. That would suggest a ped (the Miller High Life lowlife) walking north from the southern end of Crystal City and towards the District. The farthest north I’ve observed clear glass in the trail is the porta-potties at Gravelly Point.
Kudos to the staff in Crystal City as I returned about 90 minutes later to clear the bike path and all the glass had been removed.
I asked the CC BID if they would see if there is any security video of that area last night.

ParticipantIf you’re comfortable with cycling on city streets, registration for WABA’s 50 States may still be open (hurry). 9 Sep.
An epic metric century.

We just need a sedative to put in Mr. T’s milk so that they can get him on an airplane to DC.
How about a few Miller Highlife beers?

… all of you coffee people hang out too late in the morning for me! 😎
That would suggest you just need to focus on your priorities
Might I suggest bikes, coffee with friends, and then work?
Seriously, while any support of my fundraising would be appreciated; your support of WABA would be awesome. Everybody who cycles owes WABA big time for all they do.

If forced to choose between cookies or beer….I choose beer
Bridging a couple of threads. Maybe we should try to reduce the availability of Miller Highlife by, gasp, drinking it. Might keep the MVT more rideable

I did. Offers of beer would have been a good idea. We’ve all had plenty of cookies at this point.
I’m game to bring beer to the Crystal City Coffee Club if someone will drink it.

I’m disappointed that there was not thermometer thing to track progress. Hopefully Kitty didn’t tap everyone out.
If she did, I’ll put the squeeze on her to make more cookies. That would certainly turn out better for the people that consumed them.

ParticipantGlass on the MVT. First bridge north of the CC Connector. The Miller Highlife lowlife again, apparently. Called the USPP non-emergency number, 202-610-7505 and said that there was a part of the bottle large enough to get a fingerprint off. The officer at the desk seemed to be aware of the recurring problem. They said they would send somebody out.
