Planning to do this ride with Rod on Saturday. He’s swinging by Proteus on the way — I will meet him there probably — if he rolls out on time from Vigilante at 7:20, that means the meetup at Proteus would be at about 7:45 or 7:50. You can park all day at Proteus no problem.

Unfortunately I will not be able to join you guys. Go team 7!

Thank for organize, Judd. I would like to join the ride. If I miss at start, then will catch up at Kennedy Center.

Sorry I didn’t see this message earlier so I will not be there. Have fun.

David I think we’ll be closer to 11:30 or 11:45 to that point, especially if we take a 15min stop for snacks. I’m planning to leave CP at 10am, but sometimes departure delays etc.

Here’s where we’re meeting for lunch in Reston Town Center: http://midtownkabob.com/index.html in case we miss connections.

Got it. If you are not see me at bike share station (unless earlier than 11:30), keep going cross the bridge to Mt. Vernon trail. I will loop at Mt. Vernon Trail between I395 (mile 18) and Arlington Memorial Bridge (mile 19) to keep me warm and meet you there.

Hi guys, I’m doing this ride on Saturday, heading out from College Park at 10am toward Reston (or maybe Herndon) to have a quick lunch with my brother who lives out there. Would welcome company. Bring lock and trail lights for the return in case we’re running late. Infiltrators, social butterflies etc. welcome. I’ll be riding a medium pace — purposeful but not fast, possibly with an outbound stop at Shortcake bakery for a bit of fuel. -Jeff

I am planning at bike share station near George Mason Memorial (mile 17.3) around 11:15. Let me know if you are expecting arrival earlier or late.

    Team Accomplishments As of 2/2/17:
    Team points – 3rd
    Miles – 3rd
    HP Laps – 6th
    Sleaze Rides – 18th out of 22
Elevation – 4th (although team 21 seems to have faulty data)
Saddle Time – 3rd (with team 17 not far behind us)
    Ride Days – 4th
    Average Speed – 16th (we are slo….)

    Individual Accomplishments:
We have four riders in the Top 45 Overall.
We have 3 riders who have ridden every single day.

Nice stats and we should have 4 riders ride everyday. Really love this team. The following facts may surprise many riders that how we still ranking NO.3

    1. By now Feb 2, 22:00pm we don’t have a single rider score 1000 although the whole FS has 29 rider score more than 1000.
    2. This is team sports, we don’t need super star. Our highest score rider is now ranking 31st but we have six riders score more than 900.
    3. None of Team 7 rider ride a century so far.
    4. We are the only team don’t have a fancy name but still motivate everyone to ride while our Captain is on vacation.

    Keep going Team 7.

Vacation and belly button repair. So we’re headed out on vacation for the next two weeks and I have to have a hopefully very minor surgery the week we get back in February, so I won’t be able to organize any rides or meetups for the next three weekends.

Please feel free to post your ride plans here or on the Strava page (https://www.strava.com/clubs/freezingsaddles2017team7 ) in case other teammates want to join up! If you’re in our area (north Prince Geo’s county), be sure to infiltrate rides from the Fourmidable Snow Fleas and the Casual Sex team, as they will likely have some fun outings and they’re friendly to rivals.

Well, given that I already have two Garmins running simultaneously (the Edge 500 and the Vivoactive HR), I don’t think I need a third. The Vivoactive runs for several days on a single charge, so recharging while riding is not actually an issue for me. [emoji6]

I also have Vivoactive HR but almost not use it for bike activity since it is hardly to read while riding. Two years ago I learnt that Edge 500 has charging problem, so I bought Gomadic charger which use 4 AA batteries for my long ride. I always fully charge Edge 500 and plug in the Gomadic charger for long ride so that Garmin use the outer batteries first (maybe not directly use but charging Garmin). I got 37+ hours before Garmin alert me that outsource is not available but it automatically start using Garmin’s internal power which my unit can run another 10+hours.

Dear teammates, sorry not able to make happy hour but exciting to ride with everyone in any place:D since I am living at MO Maryland but working at Virginia. :(

Due to the long commute work, most of my rides happened at weekends. I also got lower back pain since last year so I will try to avoid make it worse. I did put this information in my register form so hopefully Sunyata notice it and assigned me properly. Of course I will do my best to help team for everything.

Looking forward to meet all you.

Guys, it is so sad not able to ride with you this morning due to stupid low back pain caused by loading bike into my car.:( But glad see all of you at start point and hopefully I will recover soon.

See you next time. Go sweet sixteen!
